In MCDS studies, the actions (alternatives) are assigned to a specific predefined class that is clarified in an ordinal manner according to the decision maker’s (DM’s) knowledge. However, different DMs usually have different psychological behaviors. Different psychological behaviors generally imply different decision behaviors and preferences, which plays a critical role in the sorting process. Yet while it is necessary to consider the DM’s psychological behavior during the sorting process, existing MCDS studies have neglected this important issue. Up to now, seldom MCDS method has taken the DM’s psychological behavior during the sorting process into consideration; this research proposes a TODIM sorting method to fill this gap. The study provides country risk classification not only to verify the importance of considering the DM’s psychological behavior during the sorting process, but also to show its application to real-world problems. Finally, the paper presents related comparison and discussions of the proposed method.}, year = {2023}, journal = {Omega}, volume = {115}, pages = {102771}, issn = {0305-0483}, url = {https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0305048322001785}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1016/j.omega.2022.102771}, }
